A speech about environment protection

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Now it’s my turn to give you a talk about the environment.

We all know that earth is our home, our only home, we must protect it. Without the earth , we could not live, and all the animals and plants on the world would die. But the fact is, the environment on the earth is becoming worse and worse. People on the earth pollute the environment anytime.They waste limited resources and throw rubbish everywhere. It’s said that the earth was much more beautiful 200 years ago than now.What’s more, there were many special animals and plants which were unseen any longer now. They had disappeared several years ago because of the polluted environment. But until now the citizens still haven’t woken up. On the countrary, they are making more pollution, such as BIG THREE.They cut down trees and waste water without a limit. A few years later, the earth may change into a large desert, we can not see any trees, we only can see tree stumps; We can not see clean water, but polluted water. What should we leave to our children? Our grandchildren? Only death! Will they complain? Of course. Are we willing to be blamed? The answer is “No”. We’re killing ourselves.

It’s certain that our country isn’t very rich, of course, we should develop our economy, but we can not damage the envirinment.According to the government, the resourses are reducing at a high speed and the environment is becoming worse and worse.Environment to people is what water to fish .So we must think of “ sustainable development”. We all have the responsibility for it. We must protect the earth. As you all know: If all of us make a small changes, we can make a big difference.
